Hyderabad: At the special summit “Conclave 2026: Telangana’s Vision for the Next 10 Years”, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy delivered an expansive address outlining his government’s development roadmap, governance philosophy, political commitment, and long-term vision for the state.
The event focused on Telangana’s future in areas such as infrastructure, investments, employment generation, urban transformation, financial management, and administrative reforms. Speaking before industry leaders, policymakers, media representatives, and citizens, the Chief Minister emphasized that clarity of purpose and decisive governance are central to building a progressive Telangana.
“We Have a Responsibility to Put Systems Back on Track”
The Chief Minister said his government is working with a strong sense of responsibility to restore systems and strengthen governance across the state.
“I am touring districts once every fifteen days and spending significant time mobilising funds for Telangana’s development,” he said, highlighting his direct engagement with administration and public issues.
Projecting a grounded political image, Revanth Reddy remarked that despite becoming Chief Minister, he continues to live in the same house he lived in during his time as a ZPTC member, underscoring his simplicity and connection with ordinary people.
Focus on Social Justice and Grassroots Leadership
Highlighting the Congress government’s commitment to empowering grassroots leaders, the Chief Minister said nominated posts and political opportunities are being given to those who struggled and worked sincerely for society and the party.
He cited several examples of leaders from ordinary backgrounds who were given electoral opportunities and went on to win with significant public support. He also said the government has recognised families and personalities associated with Telangana’s social and political movements, including the family of Chakali Ailamma, the family of Srikantha Chary, and activist-intellectual M. Kodandaram.
Telangana Identity and Cultural Assertion
Revanth Reddy highlighted several symbolic decisions taken by his government to strengthen Telangana’s cultural identity. He noted that “Jaya Jaya He Telangana” has been declared the official state song and that a Telangana Thalli statue has been installed as part of reinforcing Telangana pride and self-respect.
Musi River Rejuvenation Will Continue
The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to the Musi River rejuvenation project and asserted that the initiative would continue despite political opposition.
“Whoever tries to obstruct us, we will continue the cleansing and rejuvenation of the Musi,” he declared, indicating that urban transformation and environmental restoration remain priority agendas for the government.
On Relations With the Centre and PM Modi
Addressing recent political discussions surrounding his interactions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Revanth Reddy clarified that all discussions with the Centre were official and transparent.
He said Prime Minister Modi had encouraged the Telangana government to work in coordination with the Centre for securing funds and accelerating development projects.
“There is no secrecy in our conversations. We spoke openly in front of microphones during official programmes,” he said.
The Chief Minister contrasted the present approach with that of the previous BRS government, stating that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had rarely worked in coordination with the Union government.
“I Will Continue Under Rahul Gandhi’s Leadership”
Reaffirming his ideological commitment to the Congress party, Revanth Reddy stated that he would continue to work under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
He credited Sonia Gandhi for the formation of Telangana, saying the state may not have become a reality even in another thousand years without her intervention and political will.
“I joined Congress when it was not in power. I will never become an opportunist for positions or political convenience,” he said, adding that the Gandhi family trusted his commitment and gave him opportunities within the party.
Leadership, Mental Strength and Public Approval
During the conclave, the Chief Minister also spoke at length about leadership, decision-making, and mental resilience in public life.
“If there is clarity in one’s goals and decisions, positive energy follows,” he observed.
He acknowledged that public representatives often face criticism and differing opinions but stressed that no leader can satisfy everyone. According to him, achieving acceptance from 60 to 75 percent of the people itself should be considered a major success in democratic politics.
Revanth Reddy further noted that challenges and pressure are inevitable in leadership, but overcoming them requires mental strength, clarity, and conviction.
Telangana’s Vision for the Next Decade
The conclave ultimately served as a platform for the Chief Minister to present Telangana as a state focused on inclusive growth, infrastructure expansion, financial discipline, welfare delivery, and cultural confidence.
Through his remarks, Revanth Reddy attempted to project a leadership model combining administrative activism, political clarity, social representation, and cooperative federalism — positioning Telangana as an ambitious and investment-driven state looking ahead to the next decade of growth and transformation.
