Hyderabad / Patna, June 25, 2026: In a significant push towards strengthening Bihar’s industrial and MSME landscape, Industries Department Secretary and Managing Director of BIADA and IDA, Shri Kundan Kumar, held a series of high-level meetings in Hyderabad on Thursday. The visit aligns with the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary to transform Bihar into one of India’s fastest-growing industrial and investment destinations.

During his visit, Shri Kundan Kumar met senior officials of the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Ni-MSME), Government of India, including Faculty Member, Programme Director and Rector Shri Vivek Kumar, as well as Shri Surya Prakash, SED Director, MSME Telangana. The discussions focused on forging strategic partnerships and institutional collaborations to modernize and strengthen Bihar’s MSME ecosystem.

Key issues deliberated upon included restructuring the MSME Directorate, formulating Bihar’s new MSME Policy, enhancing institutional capacity, and creating a more investment-friendly environment for entrepreneurs and businesses. The officials also explored the adoption of best practices to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable industrial growth across the state.

As part of the Hyderabad outreach, Shri Kundan Kumar also interacted with members of the Bihar Foundation’s Hyderabad Chapter. The meeting was attended by Bihar Foundation Hyderabad Chapter Chairman Shri Manvendra Mishra, Secretary Shri Uttam Yadav, Bihar Association President Shri Hareram Singh, and other prominent members of the Bihari diaspora.

The interaction focused on strengthening ties with the global Bihari community, encouraging investments in Bihar, facilitating industrial partnerships, and promoting the active participation of Non-Resident Biharis in the state’s economic transformation.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Kundan Kumar reiterated the Bihar Government’s commitment to creating a conducive ecosystem for entrepreneurship, investment, and industrial development. He emphasized that collaboration with premier industry institutions and engagement with the Bihari diaspora would play a crucial role in accelerating MSME growth, generating employment opportunities, and advancing Bihar’s emergence as a major industrial hub in the country.

The Hyderabad meetings are being viewed as an important step in Bihar’s broader strategy to attract investments, strengthen industrial infrastructure, and build a globally connected and future-ready MSME ecosystem.
