Hyderabad, August 17, 2026: The poster of the patriotic short film “Hum Desh Premi”, a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting voluntary blood and organ donation, was unveiled today at the BJP Telangana State Office in Hyderabad by Shri N. Ramchander Rao, Hon’ble President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Telangana State.
The short film is being presented as a tribute to the brave personnel of the Armed Forces and their families. Through a powerful message of patriotism, humanitarian service and national unity, “Hum Desh Premi” seeks to inspire citizens—particularly the youth—to come forward and participate in voluntary blood and organ donation.

The poster launch ceremony was attended by Major General N. Srinivas Rao (Retd.), former GOC, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh and President of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Telangana State, along with distinguished retired Armed Forces officers and several eminent personalities.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. (Hon.) Yogesh Raj Srivastava, Promoter of Hum Desh Premi and Director, Information & Public Relations, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Telangana, said the film is a humble tribute to the valour and sacrifice of India’s Armed Forces. He emphasised that blood and organ donation should be viewed not merely as a medical necessity but as a noble humanitarian and national responsibility.
Dr. Srivastava further said that the initiative draws inspiration from the visionary leadership and commitment to national service of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The campaign aims to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, unity, compassion and social responsibility among citizens while encouraging greater participation in life-saving donation programmes.
The dignitaries present at the event appreciated the initiative and stressed the need to build greater public awareness about voluntary blood and organ donation. They particularly highlighted the importance of engaging the younger generation and encouraging them to become ambassadors of humanitarian service.
Through Hum Desh Premi, the organisers envision taking the message of blood and organ donation to communities across the country and motivating citizens to contribute to nation-building in a meaningful way.

Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha’s Medical Outreach for Veterans
As part of its continued commitment to the welfare of veterans and their families, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Telangana, is also conducting a free annual medical examination programme for veterans and their family members in towns that do not have access to ECHS polyclinics.
The medical outreach is being organised as part of the Independence Day celebrations, in association with Synchrony International Pvt. Ltd. The initiative seeks to bridge healthcare gaps for veterans living in areas without convenient access to ECHS facilities and reflects the organisation’s continued efforts towards the welfare of former Armed Forces personnel and their families.
The twin initiatives—Hum Desh Premi and the veterans’ medical outreach—underscore a common message: serving the nation extends beyond the battlefield and can take the form of compassion, healthcare, voluntary donation and humanitarian service.
