Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed senior officials to conduct a daily review on the progress of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and to assess what the district collectors are doing in this regard. He emphasized the need for regular updates on land acquisition and other matters to be provided to him. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister held a review meeting at the state secretariat on the progress of the RRR. Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the details of land acquisition and related works in the northern part of the RRR.
The Chief Minister stressed that the pace of land acquisition must be increased. He instructed the collectors in the northern part to provide daily updates to the Chief Secretary of the state by evening, detailing what progress was made in the road works and the initiation of land acquisition processes in the southern part. He also emphasized the importance of transparency in the land acquisition process. Additionally, the Chief Minister suggested creating a WhatsApp group with the Chief Secretary, infrastructure and projects advisor Srinivas Raju, CM’s OSD Shahnawaz Qasim, the respective district collectors, and R&B senior officials to continuously update the progress of the works. The Chief Minister made it clear that there must be progress between one review meeting and the next.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the initiation of land acquisition for the southern section of the RRR, which covers the Sangareddy-Amanagal-Shadnagar-Choutuppal route (189.20 km). Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed the entire RRR map on Google Maps and suggested some modifications to the proposed alignment in the southern section. He emphasized that the alignment should be designed with future needs in mind and stressed the importance of transparency in this process. He instructed officials to conduct field visits and quickly provide a comprehensive report on the changes he recommended.
Regarding the Future City, the Chief Minister also gave several suggestions to officials concerning the construction of radial roads. He pointed out that these roads should connect seamlessly with the main roads before their construction begins, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic without issues like signals. He stressed that the radial roads should be well integrated with the ORR (Outer Ring Road) and RRR (Regional Ring Road) and should be beneficial to the various industries and institutions that will be set up in Future City.
The meeting was attended by State R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Nalgonda MP Kunduru Raghuveer Reddy, CM’s Advisor Vem Narendra Reddy, Chief Secretary to the Government Shanti Kumari, Principal Secretary of Transport Department Vikas Raj, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister V.
