John Chambers calls it “bold, clear, and very achievable”; USISPF pledges strong partnership ahead of TelanganaRising Global Summit in Hyderabad

NEW DELHI, November 13, 2025: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s ambitious pitch to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion state economy by 2047 drew overwhelming support from global industry leaders at the annual conclave of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) in New Delhi on Thursday.

Tech icon and former Cisco CEO John Chambers lauded the Chief Minister’s roadmap, describing his vision for Telangana as “bold, clear, and very achievable.” Chambers said he was deeply impressed by the CM’s description of “game-changing projects” and their potential to create lasting social impact.

USISPF President and CEO Dr. Mukesh Aghi also endorsed the TelanganaRising vision, saying the Forum and its members “totally support” the state’s growth plan. “In response to the invitation of Hon’ble CM Revanth Reddy, most of our members will attend the TelanganaRising Global Summit being organised in Hyderabad on December 8 and 9,” Dr. Aghi confirmed, noting that the event will “unveil and showcase a comprehensive development vision for the state.”

‘TelanganaRising 2047’ – A Blueprint for Inclusive Growth

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the extraordinary opportunities awaiting global investors in Telangana. “We have had governments of different parties for over three decades, but all have consistently supported investors. Today, Telangana is among India’s youngest, most dynamic and successful states,” he said.

He highlighted Hyderabad’s strategic advantages — its central location, world-class infrastructure, investor-friendly policies, and safety. “Hyderabad has no major security risks, excellent climate, and top-class infrastructure. We are the gateway to the Indian market and the preferred destination for global capability centers (GCCs). Come and invest in Telangana,” he appealed to global investors.

Key Projects: Bharat Future City, Musi Riverfront & Urban Transformation

Revanth Reddy unveiled his government’s flagship projects aimed at redefining Telangana’s urban landscape and global competitiveness:

  • Bharat Future City: envisioned as India’s most advanced city over 30,000 acres, designed to attract cutting-edge industries and global investors.
  • River Musi Rejuvenation: an ambitious riverfront transformation project aimed at giving Hyderabad a world-class urban experience comparable to London, Tokyo, Dubai or Seoul. “It will fuel a new night economy and boost tourism and lifestyle industries,” he said.
  • Regional Ring Roads, Radial Roads & Dry Port: to strengthen logistics, manufacturing, and connectivity across the state.
  • Hyderabad Metro Expansion: to enhance urban mobility and sustainability.

The Chief Minister also highlighted plans for a dedicated manufacturing zone between the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and Outer Ring Road (ORR), stating that “Telangana is positioning itself as the global answer to the China +1 alternative.”

Focus on Education, Women Empowerment & Global Partnerships

Revanth Reddy outlined his long-term focus on economic empowerment of women, skilling, and global education partnerships. “Once Harvard, Stanford or Oxford sets up offshore campuses in Hyderabad, students from across the Global South can access Ivy League education at lower cost and with easier visa rules,” he said, inviting global universities to join the state’s education ecosystem.

Corporate Recognition & Visionary Governance

In a lighter yet visionary note, the Chief Minister said his government plans to name major roads in Hyderabad after top global corporations rather than political leaders. “In India, most roads are named after politicians. Let’s change that. In Hyderabad, let’s have Google Street, Meta Street, or Infosys Avenue,” he said, drawing applause from the audience.

TelanganaRising Summit to Spotlight State’s Global Ambitions

The TelanganaRising Global Summit 2025, scheduled for December 8–9 in Hyderabad, will serve as the grand platform to unveil the state’s comprehensive economic and urban development vision. Top CEOs, investors, and global academic leaders are expected to attend.

With strong endorsements from global business figures like John Chambers and institutional partners like USISPF, Telangana’s growth story under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appears poised to make a significant mark on the global investment landscape.
