Hyderabad, News Desk | April 16, 2025: In a significant achievement that underscores the state’s commitment to law and order, Telangana has secured the No. 1 rank in policing among Indian states with a population of over one crore, according to the prestigious India Justice Report 2025. This remarkable feat has earned widespread praise for the Telangana Government, particularly under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, whose dynamic governance continues to set new benchmarks across sectors.

The India Justice Report, compiled by respected institutions such as Tata Trusts, Centre for Social Justice, and Common Cause, evaluates states based on critical indicators of justice delivery — including police performance, judiciary efficiency, legal aid, and prison conditions. Telangana’s police force emerged as the frontrunner among 18 large states, thanks to its strong focus on transparency, accountability, and proactive crime control.

A Model of Transparent Policing

Congratulating the police force on this national recognition, CM Revanth Reddy lauded the dedication and discipline of every member of the Telangana police. He emphasized that the state’s policing success is a reflection of collective effort, uncompromising duty, and a deep-rooted commitment to public welfare.

“Telangana’s police have not only safeguarded peace and curbed crime effectively, but have also built trust among the public through transparency and swift justice. This recognition is a matter of pride for every citizen of our state,” CM Revanth Reddy said.

Governance Rooted in Law, Justice, and Accountability

Under Revanth Reddy’s administration, Telangana has made law and order a core pillar of good governance. The police department has implemented modern policing techniques, improved response time, and enhanced accessibility for citizens — particularly marginalized communities.

The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of data-driven policing, quick registration of cases, digital surveillance systems, and citizen-friendly services such as SHE Teams and Hawk-Eye, which have helped elevate Telangana’s image as one of the safest and most responsive states in India.

A Vision for the Future

Chief Minister Reddy reiterated his vision of making Telangana not only a leader in governance but also a model state for justice delivery and institutional performance. He expressed confidence that the state’s police force would continue to achieve even greater milestones in the future.

“This recognition is not the end, but a new beginning. It shows that with the right leadership, clear vision, and dedication to duty, states can become beacons of justice and safety. Telangana is proud, and the journey continues,” he said.

National Recognition, Local Impact

The No. 1 ranking in policing adds to a series of recent achievements by the Telangana government, which has been consistently praised for its performance in public service delivery, infrastructure development, education, and youth empowerment.

This accolade from the India Justice Report affirms what many have already observed — that under CM Revanth Reddy, Telangana is rising with purpose, precision, and people-first governance.
