Tokyo/Hyderabad, April 2025: In a major boost to international employment prospects for the youth of Telangana, the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Ltd. (TOMCOM) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two leading Japanese firms — TERN (TGUK Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) and Raj Group — during Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy’s official visit to Japan.
The agreements were formalized in the presence of the Chief Minister as part of the Telangana Government’s strategic initiative to promote global workforce mobility and enhance the employability of skilled professionals from the state in high-demand international markets.
Collaboration to Create 500 Global Job Opportunities
The partnership is set to facilitate the recruitment of approximately 500 skilled professionals from Telangana over the next 1–2 years in sectors experiencing a talent crunch in Japan. These include:
- Healthcare – 200 positions
- Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical, Computer Science, IT) – 100 positions
- Hospitality – 100 positions
- Construction & Infrastructure – 100 positions
The firms have committed to hiring professionals through structured training and placement initiatives coordinated by TOMCOM.
Japanese Employers Partnering for Skilled Workforce
TERN, headquartered in Tokyo’s Shinagawa district, specializes in international recruitment across software, engineering, and Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) domains.
Raj Group, in collaboration with Tsukui Corporation Ltd. — Japan’s largest nursing care employer — has been working with TOMCOM to train and recruit caregivers. With the signing of this MoU, their partnership will now expand into non-healthcare sectors, offering broader opportunities for Telangana’s workforce.
Telangana Government’s Vision for Global Talent Development
This initiative is aligned with TOMCOM’s mission to provide global job opportunities and equip youth with internationally relevant skills. It also resonates with the Telangana Government’s broader vision to transform the state into a reliable hub of high-quality global talent.
Commenting on the development, Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy emphasized the state’s commitment to nurturing global citizens by leveraging international partnerships and innovative workforce development strategies.
