Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reaffirmed that the progress of Telangana and Hyderabad is unstoppable. He stated that while some had doubts when the slogan “Telangana Rising… Hyderabad Rising…” was introduced, the ongoing developments have convinced everyone. Today, the world acknowledges Telangana’s rapid growth and Hyderabad’s emergence as a global city.
The Chief Minister, along with IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, inaugurated the HCLTech Tex Global Delivery Center in Madhapur, Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, he emphasized that Hyderabad and Telangana are now the fastest-growing city and state in India.
Hyderabad’s Competition is Global
CM Revanth Reddy remarked that Hyderabad is not competing with Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, or Bengaluru, but with global cities. Initially, this vision seemed like an ambitious dream. However, Telangana’s rapid strides in electric vehicles, its transformation into a data center hub, and its leadership in green energy, life sciences, biotech, skill development, manufacturing, and agri-processing have proved skeptics wrong. Now, Hyderabad Rising and Telangana Rising is a reality that cannot be stopped.
A Magnet for Global Investments
- Telangana is attracting major multinational corporations. Every day, MoUs are signed with global companies, large corporations are setting up bases in Hyderabad, and new state-of-the-art facilities are being launched as per previously signed agreements.
- Within just one year, Telangana has secured top position in the country by attracting both international and domestic investments.
- The state has taken the lead in artificial intelligence adoption and maintained low inflation levels.
- When the government set a goal of achieving a $1 trillion GDP, some dismissed it as impossible. However, two business trips abroad led to MoUs worth ₹40,000 crore and investment commitments worth ₹1.78 lakh crore.
Hyderabad: A Hub for Life Sciences & Tech Innovation
- Telangana successfully invited Amgen, one of the world’s leading life sciences companies, to establish operations in Hyderabad.
- The state hosted BioAsia 2025, one of the world’s premier biodiversity summits.
- Now, with the inauguration of the HCLTech campus, Telangana’s reputation as a global investment hub has been further solidified.
HCLTech’s Expansion in Hyderabad
HCL Technologies, which operates in 63 countries with 2.2 lakh employees in digital, engineering, cloud, and AI sectors, has enhanced India’s global reputation.
- HCL first set up operations in Hyderabad in 2007.
- Over the years, it has expanded significantly and now operates from a state-of-the-art 3.2 lakh sq. ft. facility.
- The new campus will employ 5,000 professionals, marking yet another milestone in Hyderabad’s journey as a tech and innovation powerhouse.
The event saw participation from HCLTech CEO and Managing Director C. Vijay Kumar, Senior VP and Global Head of Digital Business Pawan Vadapalli, Telangana’s Special Chief Secretary for Industries Jayesh Ranjan, and several other dignitaries.
