Hyderabad: For many, success isn’t just about personal achievements — it’s about giving back to those who shaped your journey. For Sanjeeva Reddy Thalla, a software programmer from Telangana now settled in the United Kingdom, that moment came when his parents boarded an airplane for the very first time — a milestone he beautifully captured and shared on social media.

The heart-touching video shows Sanjeeva’s parents, who had spent their entire lives in a small Telangana village, embarking on their first air journey and reuniting with their son’s family abroad. The clip begins with serene scenes from their village — the couple sitting amid green fields — and transitions to their radiant smiles in the UK as they meet their son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild.

In an emotional caption, Sanjeeva wrote:

“It was their first ever flight. It was their first time crossing our state’s border. It was their first time sitting in an aircraft. It was their first time wearing shoes.”

Reflecting on his modest beginnings, he added:

“As they were landing in the UK, my mind went back to my school days in Telangana. I remember wearing trousers with patches, carrying books in a fertiliser-sack bag, and living without a proper house. And now, here they are — in my home.”

Calling it one of the most meaningful moments of his life, Sanjeeva wrote,

“This isn’t the biggest achievement. It’s not about money or buying a house — it’s about this moment.”

He also revealed that his mother still uses her thumbprint as a signature, and his father barely signs his name in Telugu, making this journey even more symbolic of how far they’ve come.

Sanjeeva concluded with a powerful thought:

“From that situation to a world where their son could bring them across continents.”

The video has since gone viral, drawing emotional reactions from people across platforms.
One user commented, “You won.” Another wrote, “This is the best feeling in the world.” A third added, “You should be proud — not everyone gets to give their parents this joy.”
