Davos, January 20, 2026: In a major boost to Telangana’s fast-expanding Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem, global cosmetics major L’Oréal will inaugurate the world’s first beauty-tech GCC in Hyderabad in November 2026. The announcement was made during a meeting between the company’s top leadership and the Telangana Rising delegation at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos.
The Telangana delegation, led by Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, successfully secured the marquee investment, marking Hyderabad’s entry into a new and emerging GCC category—beauty-tech.
The decision was announced following discussions with Mr Nicolas Hieronimus, Chief Executive Officer of L’Oréal. Expressing his enthusiasm, Hieronimus said the company was delighted to establish a large-scale beauty-tech GCC in Hyderabad with significant investment. The new facility will function as a global hub for innovation, technology, data, and supply chain operations.
According to the L’Oréal CEO, the Hyderabad GCC will play a critical role in the company’s global digital transformation, supporting artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and next-generation tech initiatives. “Technology solutions developed at the Hyderabad GCC will be deployed across our facilities worldwide,” he said, underlining the strategic importance of the centre.

L’Oréal also extended an invitation to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu to attend the inauguration of the GCC in November 2026.
Recalling the efforts behind the investment, Minister Sridhar Babu said the Chief Minister was keen on bringing L’Oréal’s GCC to Hyderabad and ensured comprehensive support from the state government. He asserted that Hyderabad has emerged as one of the most preferred global destinations for GCC investments, not only in med-tech and health-tech but also in new-age sectors such as beauty-tech.
The Minister noted that several global majors—including hospitality leader Marriott—are setting up GCCs in Telangana, while companies such as Vanguard, Netflix, McDonald’s, Heineken, Jaggaer, and Costco Wholesale have already chosen Hyderabad for their global operations.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed L’Oréal about the launch of the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH), which drew keen interest from the CEO.
Special Chief Secretary for ITE&C and Industries, Sanjay Kumar, invited L’Oréal to explore manufacturing opportunities in Telangana alongside the GCC investment. Responding positively, Hieronimus expressed interest in examining the feasibility of setting up a manufacturing unit in Hyderabad in the future, citing the state’s strong ecosystem and infrastructure advantages.
With this landmark announcement, Hyderabad further cements its reputation as a global innovation and GCC powerhouse, while Telangana continues to attract cutting-edge investments across emerging technology domains.
