Hyderabad, August 15: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, addressing the inaugural session of the CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show at HITEX, struck a confident and forward-looking note on the state’s economic and infrastructural roadmap. He assured real estate developers, investors, and citizens that the state government was committed to creating a transparent, investor-friendly ecosystem while safeguarding public interest.

“Despite doubts and rumours, we are moving forward with concrete development plans for the state,” the Chief Minister said. Congratulating the event organisers, he remarked that such platforms help dispel misinformation and boost confidence among stakeholders.

Highlighting the importance of continuity in governance, he stated, “Policies and the construction sector act as the twin growth engines for state development. Even when governments change, avoiding policy paralysis has helped us compete on the global stage.”

Revanth Reddy underscored that political differences sometimes fuel unwarranted apprehensions but assured that Telangana’s investment climate remains stable. “Our responsibility is not only to protect investments but also to ensure they generate returns,” he stressed, adding that political rumours hurt the very people who believe them.

He assured domestic developers of priority treatment, stating, “If we invite investors from other countries, why would we overlook you? You are our first priority. I am an average middle-class-thinking Chief Minister — my focus is on societal welfare, not on amassing wealth or sending it abroad.”

On infrastructure, the CM lamented the lack of Metro Rail expansion over the last decade, noting that earlier initiatives — like the original Metro project brought by late Jaipal Reddy — could have eased Hyderabad’s traffic woes. He announced ongoing efforts to extend the Metro up to Shamirpet and Medchal, improve last-mile connectivity, and secure central approvals for projects such as the Musi Riverfront Development, Regional Ring Road, and Regional Ring Rail.

Revanth Reddy also revealed plans for 11 new radial roads connecting the Outer Ring Road to the proposed Regional Ring Road, and a dry port on the Hyderabad–Amaravati Greenfield Highway. “Without water and road connectivity, infrastructure growth is impossible,” he pointed out.

Addressing financing, the CM informed that his government successfully restructured ₹26,000 crore in loans to a 35-year term at 7.5% interest and is pressing the Prime Minister to restructure an additional ₹2 lakh crore for the state’s long-term benefit.

On balanced regional growth, he said the state will be divided into Core Urban, Semi-Urban, and Rural zones for targeted development. He also emphasised ecological restoration, including revival of lakes and removal of encroachments on drainage channels, despite political backlash.

“We must remember — Charminar was built by Quli Qutb Shah, the Outer Ring Road by Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and HITEC City by Chandrababu Naidu. Leaders may come and go, but the development they gift to society remains forever,” the CM noted.

Closing his speech, he said:
“My vision is to make Hyderabad one of the world’s great cities — a city that people will speak about for the next hundred or even thousand years. I have the age, the patience, and the determination. Together, let us shape the future of Telangana.”

The three-day CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show brings together leading developers, banks, and homebuyers under one roof, showcasing residential and commercial projects, emerging infrastructure, and new investment opportunities in the state’s real estate sector.
