Hyderabad: A new revolution in the field of education has begun in Telangana with the launch of “Young India Integrated Residential Schools.” Today, the foundation stones of 28 integrated residential schools were laid simultaneously across various assembly constituencies in the state.
While laying the foundation stone for one such school, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy clarified that the government’s mission is to build a healthy Telangana by providing good healthcare and quality education to the poor, especially those living in tandas, remote villages, and slums. He stated that the poor should not be deprived of education, and with this thought in mind, after discussions with several intellectuals and sociologists, the “Young India Integrated Residential Schools” were established.
On the auspicious occasion of the Dussehra festival, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for an Integrated Residential School in Kondurg, under the Shadnagar constituency of Ranga Reddy district. During the event, he highlighted the need and importance of these schools. He mentioned that providing education to SC, ST, BC, and minority students at separate locations could create a sense of division in society, which is not good for the nation or society. Therefore, these integrated schools are being built on 25 acres, where students from all communities will study together in a spirit of brotherhood and progress.
To provide all necessary basic amenities to the poor, “Young India Integrated Residential Schools” have been inaugurated today across 28 assembly constituencies at a cost of ₹120 to ₹150 crores for each school. Each school will accommodate 2,500 students, who will rise to higher levels and contribute to nation-building. If the poor are kept away from education, it will be a great loss to the country’s wealth. After the formation of Telangana, nearly 5,000 schools were closed in the state, putting Dalit and tribal communities at risk of being deprived of education.
Officials who work for the poor are always appreciated by the government and the public. In an effort to improve educational standards, 21,000 teachers have been promoted, and 34,000 teachers have been transferred without any disputes. The Chief Minister extended his Dussehra greetings to the public, wishing them peace and prosperity, good harvests, quality education for children, and a bright future.
