Hyderabad: The citizen-led development movement Let’s Inspire Bihar (LIB) is set to hold the Bihar Development Summit 2026 at T-Hub, Hyderabad on January 18, marking another significant step in expanding a nationwide dialogue on Bihar’s long-term growth and transformation.

The Hyderabad summit follows the successful Bihar @ 2047 Vision Conclave (Season 3) held recently in Bengaluru, which drew widespread participation from entrepreneurs, industry leaders, start-up founders, IT professionals, academicians, and policy thinkers from across India and abroad. With Hyderabad emerging as one of the country’s most vibrant innovation and start-up hubs, the organisers see the city as a strategic location to deepen cross-regional collaboration and attract southern India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to Bihar’s development journey.

Founded on March 22, 2021, by senior IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav (2003 batch), currently serving as Inspector General in the Government of Bihar, Let’s Inspire Bihar was conceptualised around a clear developmental goal — the creation of a developed Bihar as an integral part of a developed India by 2047. Central to the movement’s philosophy is the idea that no citizen should be compelled to migrate from Bihar for education, employment, or healthcare, a challenge that has historically shaped the state’s socio-economic narrative.

Over time, the initiative has grown from a regional effort into a pan-India and global network, connecting more than three lakh individuals, including over 20,000 entrepreneurs and senior corporate professionals. Through chapters across multiple Indian states and overseas locations, the movement has been mobilising intellectual capital, professional expertise, and entrepreneurial energy to support sustainable and inclusive development in Bihar.

The scale and diversity of participation were clearly visible at the Bengaluru conclave, which saw over 1,200 delegates, including nearly 900 entrepreneurs and professionals, engage in detailed discussions on Bihar’s development roadmap. The deliberations contributed to the further refinement of the Bihar @ 2047 Vision Document, which outlines long-term strategies centred on entrepreneurship-led employment, inclusive economic growth, and institutional strengthening.

Building on that momentum, the Bihar Development Summit 2026 in Hyderabad is expected to serve as a high-impact platform linking investors, start-up founders, professionals, academicians, and policy influencers from South India with emerging opportunities in Bihar. The summit aims to explore practical pathways for investment, start-up incubation, MSME expansion, skill development, and innovation-driven growth, while encouraging collaborative partnerships across regions.

The Hyderabad programme will be attended by a diverse group of public representatives, educationists, scholars, and social leaders, reflecting the movement’s emphasis on inclusivity and pluralism. Among those expected to participate are Etala Rajender, Member of Parliament from Malkajgiri and former Telangana minister; Vikas Vaibhav, senior IPS officer from the Bihar cadre; Mithilesh Tiwari, Rajeev Ranjan Singh, and Ratnesh Kumar Kushwaha, all Members of the Legislative Assembly; eminent religious scholar Maulana Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi; Shamael Ahmed, National President of the Private Schools Association; Akhilesh Singh of Divine Public School; and Sonu Sharma, a BJP leader, among others.

According to organisers, the summit will place strong emphasis on entrepreneurship-driven development as a key instrument to address migration and create dignified livelihoods within Bihar. Discussions are expected to focus on aligning policy intent with investment interest and grassroots aspirations, particularly in the areas of start-ups, MSMEs, skilling, and innovation.

The Hyderabad event is part of a broader national series. Following the January summit, Let’s Inspire Bihar will host the Bihar Development Summit 2026 in New Delhi at Talkatora Stadium on February 22, which is expected to bring together a wider national audience, consolidating citizen participation, intellectual discourse, and institutional engagement around Bihar’s long-term development vision.

With successive programmes in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and the upcoming Delhi summit, Let’s Inspire Bihar continues to underline a larger narrative — that India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047 cannot be realised without Bihar’s transformation. The movement has been calling upon entrepreneurs, professionals, students, academicians, and socially conscious citizens across the country to engage actively in shaping Bihar’s future through collective action and sustained collaboration.

The Hyderabad press interaction was led by Vikas Vaibhav, IPS, and attended by senior members of the Let’s Inspire Bihar network, including Dr Saraj Kumar, Rajeev Ranjan Kumar, Alok Kumar Jha, Binita Jha, Mohan Jha, Yash Upadhyay, Rohit Raj, and Aashish Ranjan, the organisation’s social media coordinator.
