Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced a major restructuring of the state’s development approach as part of the ambitious goal to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. In a high-level review meeting on the Telangana Rising Vision 2047 document on Thursday, the CM directed officials to prepare a comprehensive roadmap to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
To accelerate growth and ensure region-specific development, the state will be divided into three economic zones:
- Core Urban Region Economy (CURE)
- Peri-Urban Region Economy (PURE)
- Rural Agriculture Region Economy (RARE)
The Chief Minister emphasised that the Vision 2047 strategy must be prepared with a long-term sustainable perspective for the next 22 years and guarantee equal development opportunities across all regions. He also instructed officials to avoid any policy paralysis and ensure realistic planning and execution.
The global Telangana Rising Summit — scheduled for December 8 and 9 — will unveil the Vision 2047 document at Bharat Future City, a world-class development hub being created near Hyderabad. The summit aims to present large-scale investment opportunities to global investors and announce incentives for industries.
Key Focus Areas in Vision 2047
The vision document will highlight:
- Equitable growth and sustainable development
- Women and youth empowerment
- Blue & Green Hyderabad mission, with plans to restore 2,959 ponds, parks, and forest zones
- Strengthening agriculture to double farmers’ income

- 11 radial roads
- New airports in Warangal, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Peddapalli, and Kothagudem
- A state-of-the-art highway from Hyderabad (Future City) to Bandar Port (AP), expected to boost logistics and exports

The CM said Telangana is prepared to compete not only with neighbouring Indian states but also with China and Japan in global growth standards. Despite being a relatively new and smaller state, Telangana is already emerging as one of India’s strongest destinations for investment with major support from Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and industry-friendly policies.
Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Azharuddin, Seethakka, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and several senior officials participated in the meeting.
